Jos

This is my (middle) brother Jos. His sudden passing (due to depression) is the main reason for my trip, so I can help my youngest brother, Leon, with estate matters (the clearing out and selling of the parental home, in which Jos was still living after the passing of our parents). Jos, we already miss you!

Jos the brother

And here an older picture of the three amigos: Myself, Jos, Leon (picture taken behind the parental home in Swalmen). I will be staying with Leon and his wife Lien during my stay while we prepare the parental home for sale. It has been in the family since 1929!

Jos the favorite uncle

Jos was beloved by his nephews and nieces. Him taking my oldest two to Amsterdam (by train) was an adventure for the whole family!

Jos the woodworker

For years, Jos was a woodworker, and he would make beautiful things like this. Then he was a mailman for many years, delivering mail on his bicycle (see picture below) and moped (he could not drive a car because of his disability).
